LEXICO-SEMANTIC CHANGES IN THE WESTERN DIALECTS OF THE BURYAT LANGUAGE

The article talks about the lexico-semantic changes in the Western dialects of the Buryat language. It is considered that the change of a meaning can occur in several main directions: 1) expansion of a meaning, 2) narrowing of a meaning, 3) shift of a meaning. Nowadays in the Western dialects of the Buryat language, we mainly observe a shift of a meaning or narrowing of a meaning.
