LEXICAL EXPLICATION OF CUNNING VALUE MEANS OF ROOT CONCORDANT L IN THE MONGOLIAN LANGUAGES

The paper deals with words with root consonant l, which have meanings ‘slyness’, ‘insidiousness’, ‘flattery’ etc. It is revealed that the nomination is conditioned by such acoustic articulatory characteristics of consonant l as a smooth current of air on both sides of tongue and also firm adherence of tip of the tongue to palate. The meaning ‘to flatter’ could be also connected with onomatopoeia.
