The article is devoted to the study of using of SWOT analysis in predicting the future of minority languages. It allows the researchers to determine the most likely risks for the future of a language, as well as to develop effective strategies for their neutralization. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to make a scientific forecast of development of minority languages with the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the current language situation.
