У видов с более узким ареалом (A. annua, A. frigidа , A. gmelenii) – связь хемотипов с широтным положением популяций – западным или восточным.

The composition of essential oils is the result of the action of various environmental factors on the plant during its development. In wormwood with the Holarctic type of area (Artemisia vulgaris), there is a correlation between the chemotype of essential oils and the type of climate of the macroregion — humid, semiarid, arid. In species with a narrower range (A. annua, A. frigida, A. gmelenii), there is a relationship between chemotypes and the latitudinal position of populations – western or eastern.
