REACTIVATION OF SOCIO-POLITICAL VOCABULARY IN THE MODERN BURYAT LANGUAGE (ON THE BASIS OF MASS MEDIA DATA)

Tsybenova E. B.

The article is devoted to the study of the language processes in modern mass media in order to identify new trends in the socio-political vocabulary of the Buryats. It is noted that in the language of the media there is an active process of updating the socio-political vocabulary, returning the vocabulary of spiritual culture to the category of active. It should be noted that the new, supplemented «Buryat-Russian dictionary» by L. D. Shagdarov, K. M. Cheremisov includes, first of all, words and expressions that are in demand by modern reality. In 2016, a handbook of socio-political terms of the Buryat language was published. Russian and Buryat languages are registered in the Law on Languages of the Republic of Buryatia, which stipulates that the texts of documents (forms, seals, stamps, postmarks) and signs with the names of state bodies and organizations must be issued in Russian and Buryat languages, in connection with which all state and private organizations should installed all titles in Russian and Buryat languages. Thus, the vocabulary that has returned to active use as a result of dearchaization, once deliberately relegated to the passive reserve, is regaining its place in the language of the media in the modern Buryat language.
