О ПРИЧИНЕ ГЕОФАГИИ СРЕДИ ДИКИХ И ДОМАШНИХ КОПЫТНЫХ В АЛТАЕ-САЯНСКОМ РЕГИОНЕ И В ПРИБАЙКАЛЬЕ

В 2022 г. в рамках междисциплинарного проекта РНФ проведены полевые исследования с отбором гео-, гидро- и биогеохимических проб в районах активной геофагии в Алтае-Саянском регионе и в Прибайкалье. Выявлено, что причина геофагии копытных, так же, как и в Горном Алтае и в Сихотэ-Алине, связана со стремлением животных с помощью минеральных сорбентов восстановить нарушенный баланс редкоземельных элементов в нейроиммуноэндокринной системе организма.
ON THE CAUSE OF GEOPHYGY AMONG WILD AND DOMESTIC UNGULATESIN THE ALTAI-SAYAN REGION AND IN THE BAIKAL

In 2022, as part of an interdisciplinary project of the Russian Science Foundation, field studies were carried out with the selection of geo-, hydro-, and biogeochemical samples in areas of active geophagy in the Altai-Sayan region and in the Baikal region. It was revealed that the cause of geophagy in ungulates, as well as in Gorny Altai and Sikhote-Alin, is associated with the desire of animals to restore the disturbed balance of rare earth elements in the neuroimmunoendocrine system of the body with the help of mineral sorbents.
