БУРЯТСКИЙ УЧЕНЫЙ КОМИТЕТ: СТРАНИЦЫ ИСТОРИИ (1920-Е ГОДЫ)

В статье рассматривается значение Бурятского Ученого комитета в научной, просветительной и культурной модернизации республики, организации издательского дела, библиотечных ресурсов, трансляции научных знаний в условиях новой социальной системы. Деятельность комитета можно назвать многогранной. В 1920-е гг. в нем работала небольшая когорта замечательных бурятских ученых, просветителей и общественных деятелей (Б. Б. Барадин, Г. Ц. Цыбиков, Ч.-Л. Базарон и др.). Комитет наладил книгообмен с ведущими научными и образовательными учреждениями. Его издания были востребованы в стране и за рубежом. Особой популярностью пользовались труды Б. Б. Барадина и Г. Ц. Цыбикова. Международный книгообмен осуществлялся через Всесоюзное общество культурной связи с заграницей (ВОКС). Сотрудники Буручкома занимались составлением, переводом и изданием учебной, детской, научно-популярной и просветительской литературы, публиковали собственные оригинальные произведения. В статье подчеркнута роль Буручкома в аккумулировании научной литературы, интенсивном комплектовании библиотеки.
THE BURYAT SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE: PAGES OF HISTORY (1920S)

In the article, the significance of the Buryat Scientific Committee has been actualized in the scientific, educational and cultural modernization of the Republic, in particular, the organization of publishing, formation of the library resources, the transmission of scientific knowledge in new social system. During these years, a small cohort of remarkable Buryat scientists, educators and public figures (B. Baradin, G. Tsybikov, Ch.-L. Bazaron, etc.) worked in it. The Committee did not fully engage in scientific activities, it also focused on supporting socialist construction. Nevertheless, the systematic historical, ethnological and folklore researches of the Republic began at the time. Namely, expeditions to the regions, collection of folklore and recoding of folk melodies, activities for the study of Buddhist art, etc. were carried out. The Committee organized joint researches and publishing projects with leading scientific and educational institutions of the country. It carried out painstaking work on translation, compilation and publication of communist, educational, popular scientific and children’s literature. The Committee established book exchange, including international ones, through the “All-Union Society for Cultural con-tacts with Foreign Countries”. Its publications were in demand in the country and abroad. The works of B. Baradin and G. Tsybikov were a success. For example, publications of the Committee were sent to the New York Public Library. During these years, the acquisition of the Committee’s library was intensive.
