В статье дается анализ развития исследований японского буддизма Института, представленных в научных проектах отдела философии, культурологии и религиоведения. Обосновывается включение буддизма Японии в орбиту научной деятельности отдела, связанное с тесным многовековым взаимодействием Китая и Японии. Выделены важнейшие научные результаты сотрудников Института в хронологической последовательности, а также даётся их оценка с учётом проблематики исследований в этой области и их современного состояния. Показано, что работа по изучению японского буддизма, которая велась и ведётся сотрудниками, играет существенную роль в работе отдела и раскрытии его объекта исследования.
STUDIES IN JAPANESE BUDDHISM AT THE INSTITUTE FOR MONGOLIAN, BUDDHIST AND TIBETAN STUDIES OF SB RAS

The article analyses the development of studies in Japanese Buddhism at the Institute, presented in the scientific projects of the Department of Philosophy, Cultural and Religious Studies. The inclusion of Japanese Buddhism into the field of scientific activities of the department is associated with the close centuries-old interaction between China and Japan. The article presents the most important scientific results of the Institute’s employees in chronological order, and gives their assessment, taking into account the research agenda in this area and its current state. It is shown that the current studies of Japanese Buddhism, which were and are being conducted by employees, play a significant role in the work of the department and help to more fully disclose its object of study.
