ТОТЕМИСТИЧЕСКИЕ ВОЗЗРЕНИЯ БУРЯТ (ПО МАТЕРИАЛАМ С. П. БАЛДАЕВА)

Целью данного исследования является обзор материалов из личного фонда бурятского исследователя С. П. Балдаева, хранящегося в ЦВРК ИМБТ СО РАН, посвященных феномену бурятского тотемизма. Это – подробные описания обрядов почитания тотемных животных, практик создания онгонов, тексты племенных и родовых генеалогических преданий о тотемных первопредках, призываний к родовым божествам, произносимых во время жертвоприношений. Также в материалах упоминается о существующих бытовых и культурных запретах, связанных с тотемными животными. Ряд содержащихся в документах текстов не введен в научный оборот. Рассмотренные материалы являются ценным источником по изучению генеалогического фольклора бурят, тотемизма у народов Сибири, а также истории бурятской науки советского периода. Отдельные тексты представляют интерес для современных исследователей бурятского фольклора и культуры.
TOTEMISTIC VIEWS OF THE BURYATS (BASED ON THE MATERIALS FROM THE PERSONAL ARCHIVE OF S. P. BALDAEV)

The purpose of this article is to review materials dedicated to the phenomenon of Buryat totemism from the personal archive of Buryat researcher S. P. Baldaev, stored in the Center of the Oriental Manuscripts and Xylographs of the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies. Three are several storage units (No. 1268, No. 1263, No. 1262) dedicated to totemism in the researcher‘s collection. They contain a wide range of ethnographic and folklore material: detailed descriptions of the rites of veneration of totem animals, texts of tribal and clan genealogical legends about totemic ancestors, invocations to ancestral deities pronounced during sacrifices, as well as cultural prohibitions associated with totem animals. A number of texts have not been introduced into scientific circulation. The considered materials are a valuable source for the study of the genealogical folklore of the Buryats, the phenomenon of totemism among the peoples of Siberia, as well as the history of Buryat science of the Soviet period. Some texts are of interest to modern researchers of Buryat folklore, ethnology and culture.
