Статья посвящена геологической разведке и первым мероприятиям по промышленной разработке Сангарского каменноугольного месторождения. На основе архивных источников Национального архива РС(Я) рассматривается период становления угольной промышленности республики в 1920–1930-е гг. Сделан вывод, что промышленное освоение Сангарского каменноугольного месторождения имело огромное значение для развития морского пути в Арктику, значительно сократило расходы на транспортировку и повысило рентабельность речных и морских перевозок.
GEOLOGICAL SEARCH AND JUSTIFICATION OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE SANGAR COAL DEPOSIT (1920S)

The article is devoted to geological exploration and the first measures for the industrial development of the Sangar coal deposit. On the basis of archival sources of the National Archive of the RS(Ya), the period of formation of the coal industry of the republic in the 1920s–1930s is considered. It is shown that the first steps in the development of coal deposits took place in difficult conditions of a shortage of qualified personnel, insufficient experience in managing and deploying industrial developments in difficult natural and climatic conditions of Yakutia. It is concluded that the industrial development of the Sangar coal deposit had a huge impact on the development of the sea route to the Arctic, reducing transportation costs and increasing the profitability of river and sea transportation.
